How we handle personal data at the Kiosk

1. Who we are

Vodafone Foundation (“VF”) and Moinee Impact Foundation (“Moinee”, together the “Organizer” or “We” /or “Us”) run eVidya Connected Stories (the “Event” or “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect at the Kiosk (as defined under the T&Cs), why we use it, and what are your rights relating to your Personal Data. The terms of use of the Kiosk is governed by the Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”).

2. What data are we collecting?

We may collect digital personal data that can identify a person, including:

  • Author name and mobile number used to send an OTP
  • Queue number and station progress at the Kiosk
  • Story prompts, story text, and pictures created in the session
  • Optional co-author name
  • Technical logs needed to run the Kiosk (device or session errors), collectively (“Personal Data”).

We do not ask for identity proofs, address, or payment details at the Kiosk.

3. How will we use your Personal Data?

We use the Personal Data to verify the mobile number, assign a queue number, keep the story session, apply child-safety checks, print or show the story, send Event updates by SMS, WhatsApp, or text messages, and issue certificates where applicable. Google Gemini is used to write and check stories and to create pictures.

4. Sharing

We may share data with the employees, consultants and advisors of VF and Moinee who are related to the Event, the school or venue coordinator, and service providers who send OTP messages or host the platform as required to run the Event. We do not sell Personal Data.

5. How can you manage your data?

You can ask to access, correct, or erase your data, or withdraw consent, using the details provided in the ‘Contact Us’ section below. We will respond within the time allowed under applicable Indian data protection law. If you withdraw consent or ask us to erase your data, we may not be able to continue the Kiosk session or send a story or certificate.

6. Retention

We keep registration and story records only as long as needed for the Event, certificates, reporting, and legal requirements, then delete or anonymize them where practicable.
